The schedule

Amortisation schedule. Illustrative.

Illustrative only. No rate on this page is available anywhere and no result is a quote, an approval or a commitment. Defaults are round numbers chosen so the arithmetic is legible, not figures anybody is offering. Taxes, insurance, association dues and mortgage insurance vary enormously between towns, buildings and lenders.

Assumptions on this page: a fixed rate for the whole term, payments made on time and in full, and mortgage insurance charged monthly on the outstanding balance until it reaches 78% of the property value you entered. Taxes, insurance and association dues are excluded here — this schedule is principal, interest and mortgage insurance only. The payment calculator adds the escrow items.

Every calculation happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored or transmitted. What is fictional on this site.

Numbers are a start, not an answer

If a figure on this page surprised you, that is usually worth twenty-five minutes on the phone.

This is a demonstration form. Submitting it validates what you typed and shows a confirmation. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is stored, and nobody will call you — there is no person on the other end of this website. On a live site this is the one function that gets wired up.
